Cucumber Juice Recipes - Refreshing Flavor!

Refreshing, crisp, and oh-so-healthy, cucumber is available year round, although it’s at its peak from May to August. For the home gardener, it’s relatively easy to grow, and cucumber’s unique fresh yet versatile flavor makes it a perfect main ingredient or addition to a variety of juicing recipes.

Perhaps the biggest nutritional benefit of cucumber is its large quantity of natural water, which helps to aid in hydrating your body. Although not a superstar when it comes to vitamins and minerals, this low-calorie vegetable has a little bit of just about everything, from vitamin C to potassium. This high water content and low calories makes it the star ingredient for juice recipes for weight loss.

When prepping your cucumbers for juice recipes, you typically don’t have to peel them, especially if you are using English cucumbers. However, most cucumbers are a little waxy on the outside, so a good scrub prior to chopping can be beneficial. It is often recommended if you can not find or afford organic cucumbers peeling them can help reduce the chance of any pesticides, etc that you certainly don’t want as an ingredient in your favorite juice.

Although cucumbers are in almost every “green juice” recipe because they are alkalizing and mild in taste, they work just as well in fruit blends, so don’t limit yourself. While the following recipes are good starting points, you can typically add hydrating cucumber to any juicing recipe for an extra dose of nutrition and a fresh taste. They are often used to help “water down” or cut some of the sweetness from any juicer recipes.

Here are some popular cucumber juice recipes to get you started. You can alter the quantities or the ingredients based on your personal preferences.

Cucumber Summertime Favorite Juice

  • 3 large, whole cucumbers
  • 1 Small handful of mint
  • 2 to 3 coriander leaves
  • Water to taste ( if needed)

Juice the cucumbers, mint, and coriander, then stir in water to dilute the mixture. You can also enjoy it as-is.

Cucumber Watermelon Apple Carrot Juice

  • ½-1 small watermelon ( cubed)
  • 2 cucumbers
  • 2 apples
  • 2 carrots

Juice all ingredients and serve.

Cucumber Watermelon

  • ½-1 small watermelon ( cubed)
  • 1 cucumber

Very refreshing summer favorite, great way to cut the sweetness of the watermelon

Cucumber Apple

  • 1 cucumber
  • 2-3 apples

Cucumber Carrot

  • 1 cucumber
  • 4 medium carrots

Cucumber Pear

  • 1 cucumber
  • 2-3 pears

Cucumber Celery Spinach

  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 2 handfuls of spinach

*juice the spinach first so the cucumber will wash out remaining spinach. This is very “green” tasting juice so you can add a little lemon to add a little tang.

Cucumber Citrus Blend

  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 orange

Cucumber Salad Juice

  • 1 cucumber
  • 2-3 medium tomatoes
  • 3 large romaine leaves
  • ½ small lemon

Cucumber Apple Celery Citrus

  • 1 cucumber
  • 2 celery stalks
  • 1 apple ( sweeter variety)
  • 1 lime

*Cucumber juice, especially when peeled, can be added to most vegetable and fruit juicer recipes.  You’ll also notice they are stable in many detox juice recipes as well.
