Pineapple juice recipes are fairly easy to prepare because pineapple has about 87% of it’s weight in water so it makes it a high yield fruit for juicing.  There are many pineapple juice benefits beyond just being a good source of vitamin c and other minerals such as manganese.

Pineapple juice is a key ingredient in many tropical themed juice recipes, smoothies and popular tropical alcohol drinks.

Some pineapples are sweeter than others, while others are much more tart so you might want to alter your juicing recipes based on the sweetness of the pineapple you are using.  Make sure to cut away the rind and stem of the pineapple before juicing.

When you cut up the pineapple to fit in your juicer, be sure to also include the inside core part that has a lot of the bromelain which is the digestive enzyme that pineapples are famous for.

Here are some Basic Pineapple Juice Recipes to begin:

Adjust these recipes up or down depending on how much juice you want to make.

Another interesting use for your freshly juiced pineapple juice is in food recipes. Pineapple is a very versatile fruit and can be used in marinades, sauces, or toppings.  A very old traditional use of pineapple juice is to soften beef which is why it is found in marinade recipes. The slightly sweet and tangy flavor makes it possible to create wonderful and new dishes without too many other exotic ingredients.

Here is a pineapple juice recipe that you may want to consider trying:

Asian Pineapple Chicken

1 whole Chicken, cut up into 8 pieces
½ cup Pineapple Juice
½ head of garlic, smashed
½ cup Soy Sauce
¼ cup Vinegar
Salt and Pepper
Laurel Leaf
Pineapple tidbits

1.Clean chicken and place in a wok
2.Add garlic, soy sauce and vinegar
3.Allow to simmer
4.Add pineapple juice, laurel leaf, salt and pepper
5.Cover and keep on low heat
6.After 20 minutes, check. If it’s too salty for your taste, add water
7.Add pineapple tidbits
8.Lower heat to minimum and remove chicken pieces
9.Fry chicken in  a separate pan
10.Return chicken back to sauce
11.Season and serve with white rice or bread

This particular pineapple juice recipe when cooked and chilled overnight tastes better the next day because the sauce is able to seep into the meat. The flavors from the soy sauce and pineapple juice blend very well and even if it is an Asian recipe, the ingredients are very easy to find.
