But... Wait a second... Who says that making smoothies can't be healthy? Here we are going to show you how to make a smoothie the smart way condusive of a healthy lifestyle while still tasting amazing. The Basics to a smoothie are, the liquid, the cream, the fruit (and/or Veggies) and the ice.

Now if you are using frozen fruit then you can skip the ice. Following this simple recipe below will give you the knowledge of how to make smoothies.

The Smoothie Basics recipe

. 1 to 2 cups of your liquid ( organic soy milk, organic almond milk, organic rice milk or organic low fat milk )

. 1/2 cup of your cream ( Organic natural yogurt )

. 2 to 3 cups of frozen fruit.

. Cruhed ice - if not using frozen fruits.

Originally smoothies were made with heavy ice cream and milk which do not assist you in keeping a healthy lifestyle. We opt for using organic soy milk for its health benefits as well as organic yogurt.

How To Make A smoothie - Preparation:

a) Put your fruits or frozen fruits in the blender first and use the smoothie setting. if your blender does not have the smoothie setting you may use the puree setting. blend it for 1 to 2 minutes until the fruits are completely crushed

b) add the yogurt and milk and blend for another 30 seconds. You may need to check and stir with a spoon to make sure everything is mixed properly. If not, blend for another  30 seconds.

c) If you didn't use frozen fruit, add the crushed ice and blend until mixed.

d) Pour and enjoy a cup of a healthy smoothie.
