Juicing For Weight Loss

Juicing is not only a delicious and creative solution to help you in your weight loss goals, but is also an incredible way to increase your energy and vitality.

By adding nutrient dense fresh fruit, vegetables, and leafy green juices to your daily routine you will be surprised at how easily and quickly you can accelerate your weight loss goals and feel your absolute best.  

Juicing can support your weight loss and fat burning goals in a number of ways including reducing cravings, saturating your cells with bio-available nutrition, supporting your body’s fat burning processes, flushing toxins stored in your fat cells, and reducing acidity in your body.

Often times the cause of your cravings for sweets and “super-sized” portions is because your body is starving for the nutrients that are supposed to be in your food in the first place.  Unfortunately because so much of our modern diet is void of the nutrients our bodies desperately need, our cravings increase as our body attempts to fill this nutrient void. 

It’s been reported that even healthy vegetables when cooked lose from 30 to 85% of the nutrition present in the food when raw. Most cooked and processed “convenience” foods are almost completely void of heat sensitive enzymes.  Enzymes are the catalyst for the hundreds of thousands of chemical reactions that occur throughout the body some of which aid in metabolism of fats and carbohydrates.

Fresh juice is full of vitamins, minerals, trace elements, natural sugars, proteins, and live enzymes which are almost instantly bio-available to your body. Adding fresh juice to your diet will do wonders to keep your cravings in check and cells well nourished.  Don’t be surprised if you begin eating less while being just as satisfied.  When your body has the essential nutrition it needs it will also begin to function better. 

For example, carrots are high in nutrients such as vitamin B, C, D, E, K, beta-carotene and stimulates the adrenal glands, which encourage fat to be burned.

Juicing can also play a key role in reducing acidity in your body.  Unfortunately, because people today predominantly eat a diet high in processed acid-forming foods, we are suffering from chronic acidity. Too much acidity also can cause us to gain weight or prevent us from losing weight.

To make things worst, the body tends to store acid in fat cells and hangs on to the fat to keep the acidity from doing damage in other key areas of the body.

Most fruit and vegetable juices counteract acidity because of their highly alkalizing effects. Vegetables, leafy greens and grasses in particular are among the most alkalizing foods you can eat and thus juice.  Often, when people bring their bodies into a healthy pH balance, the weight seems to just melt away.

Toxic substances that make their way into our bodies from the environment and foods we eat, etc, are also often stored in fat cells as another defensive mechanism to keep the rest of your body safe from their harmful effects.

Because the body uses fat to hold toxins we often find it hard to lose weight.  When we remove acidic and toxic waste from our bodies/cells, our bodies not longer need this extra protection, so we can begin to lose the extra fat.

Juices are rich in antioxidants and other elements that bind to toxins and carry them out of your system. Because vegetable juices are alkalizing, they help the body flush away acidic, toxic waste and enable it to reach a better pH balance so it can help get rid of excess weight and cellulite.

With all the amazing benefits that juicing can provide, I’m shocked that juicing for weight loss isn’t the cornerstone of every diet guru's plan. Though I have just barely touched on the ways juicing can impact your life, I hope you have learned enough to encourage you to add juicing to your current slim down and health building plan.
